The Russell Volunteer Fire Brigade is based in Russell, Bay Of Islands, New Zealand.  We are a brigade of 26 active Fire Fighters plus support crew. We operate 3 appliances, a first response pump, a rescue tender, and a tanker.

Our other claim to fame is our world famous International Gamefish tournament which we operate each year on the weekend before Easter, attracting teams from all over New Zealand, and Australia. We have also had representation by Firefighters from the USA.

We are also the proud owners of 1952 Ford V8 Fire Appliance which was in active use in our brigade up until 1980.  She was purchased by the members when she was retired from active duty and has been lovingly restored.  She is available for hire and is popular for weddings in the historic village of Russell.
